Ms. Baker joined
the Volunteer Consulting Group in 1988 and has been VCG's Financial
Director since 1991. She is solely responsible for overseeing
all financial aspects of the organization, i.e. generating budgets,
program reporting, overseeing annual audits, billing, invoicing,
etc. In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Baker serves
as Office Manager which includes training support staff, ordering
supplies, health plans, 401K's, payroll, life and disability
insurance, etc. Her management and leadership skills are central
to the organization's work. Prior to joining VCG, Ms. Baker
held a position at the National Homecaring Council in the Finance
Department. During her twelve years with NHC she worked with
cash disbursements, budgeting and cash receipts.
Ms. Baker is married, has two children and lives in the Bronx.
She is a member of her neighborhood's Tenant Association and
is very involved with the Archdiocese Catholic Schools in the
Bronx. |
