Alvin Patrick is a 21-year veteran of broadcast and cable
network television. He has produced news, sports and entertainment
programming at ABC, HBO, MTV and ESPN. He is currently a Senior
Producer of ABC News Nightline. Mr. Patrick manages story
assignments, daily show production and supervises the staff
of the New York-based show.
Mr. Patrick was Coordinating Producer of ESPN's First Take
(formerly Cold Pizza) from 2005 to 2009. He served as a Vice
President and Executive Producer for MTV from 2001 to 2004.
From 1999 to 2000, he was a Broadcast Producer for HBO's Real
Sports with Bryant Gumbel. Mr. Patrick began his career at
ABC network from 1989 to 1998, where he served as a Producer
for ABC News' World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Good
Morning America, Day One and ABC Sports.
Mr. Patrick has won numerous awards, including three National
Emmy nominations, five National Association of Black Journalists
awards and a Gabriel award.
Mr. Patrick serves as Board Chair of the Harbor Science &
Arts Charter School in Harlem, New York. He also serves as
a member of the Communication Arts Advisory Board of Marist
College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Mr. Patrick holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in television
production from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor of Arts degree
in broadcast journalism from Marist College in Poughkeepsie,
New York.
He lives in the New York City area with his wife of 21 years,
Beverly Jocelyn-Patrick. They have two children in college:
Arielle, a student at Princeton and Andrew, a student at Yale.
