| Susan O'Neill
is a Principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the world's
largest professional services firm. PwC provides a wide range
of accounting, tax and advisory services in 146 countries around
the world.
Susan has been with PwC for over 23 years and is currently
the leader of the Online and Content Strategies Groups. These
groups are responsible for PwC's external web presence and
for the Firm's global intranet. She works with a broad national
and international community of Marketing, Knowledge Management
and IT professionals throughout PwC's global network of firms
to develop and drive online strategies as well as manage implementation.
She also is a member of global and U.S. governance groups
that provide oversight for PwC's IT strategies and investments.
Susan has been active in PwC's online activities since the
early 1990s. She was responsible for developing PwC's first
community-focused extranet, the Tax News Network (TNN). Initially
released in 1993 using proprietary software, TNN was launched
on the Web in early 1996, making it among the first business-to-client
web sites.
Susan started with PwC as a business analyst, working with
various PwC business units to develop new service strategies
for emerging market opportunities. She then became the Director
of Strategy and Planning for the Firm's tax practice. She
has also held the positions of Deputy to the Firm's global
Chief Knowledge Officer and the Operations Leader for the
Global Knowledge Management organization.
Before joining PwC, Susan worked in the banking industry,
in product development, and for a small consulting firm that
analyzed the technology industry. Susan holds a B.A. in English
from the University of Southern Maine.
Susan currently resides in Maplewood, New Jersey with her
husband and teen-age daughter. She is a native New Yorker
who never imagined that she could live in the suburbs. But
a nine-year sojourn in Washington D.C., when she worked with
PwC's tax practice, made it possible for her to realize that
there is life outside of New York City.
