Anne Green is a founding partner
in Griffin Green Consulting (GGC), a consulting firm dedicated
to assisting nonprofit boards of directors to more fully understand
and improve their oversight roles. This includes clarifying
mutual expectations, as well as facilitating strong team dynamics.
She facilitates board retreats, works with board committees
to organize strategic recruitment and orientation of new board
members, strategic planning, retention and releasing board members.
She also coaches chairmen of boards to do all of the above!
Anne also facilitates GGC's "Nonprofit Board Excellence:
The Roles and Responsibilities of Board Members" seminar
series for selected employees of major corporations, and often
assists the graduates in a matching process to join a nonprofit
board. Her past clients include JPMorgan Chase, Deloite and
Touche, Lehman Brothers and most recently, the Federal Reserve
Bank of New York.
As a volunteer, Anne is a founder of Governance Matters and
on the Leadership Council of the Support Center for Nonprofit
Management (where she was a board member). She was a Chairperson
of Trail Blazers and President of her condominium board for
14 years. She was the President and one of the founders of the
Junior League of London, where she lived from 1977 - 1995 and
the Chair of the Westminster Volunteer Center and the Vice Chair
of the UK Volunteer Center. Anne was on the board of the Volunteer
Consulting Group from 1997-2000.
Anne was instrumental in the expansion of the New York Junior
League's "Nonprofit Boards Clearinghouse" program
and is still a guest lecturer. Anne also volunteers for SHARE:
Self Help for Women With Breast or Ovarian Cancer.
Anne and her husband Ken are the proud grandparents of Bella
and her two young identical twin brothers, Ryan and Alexander.
